This Refund Policy (“Policy“) outlines the terms under which refunds may be requested and processed on writehub.work (the “Site” or “Service“), operated by The Write Idea, LLC. WriteHub is a freelance writing job board connecting clients (buyers) with freelance writers for content assignments.

We aim to ensure fair outcomes for both clients and writers. Refunds are provided only in limited circumstances to protect the integrity of the platform and compensate writers for their work and time. All payments are processed through third-party providers (e.g., PayPal, Stripe), and refunds are subject to their policies and timelines.

By posting a job, funding an assignment, or using the Service, you agree to this Policy. This is not legal advice — consult applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

Clients may request a refund under the following conditions:

  • The writer fails to deliver the agreed-upon content by the deadline (non-delivery).
  • The delivered content materially fails to meet the job specifications (e.g., significant quality issues, off-topic, plagiarism — after reasonable revision attempts).
  • Other verifiable platform-related issues preventing fulfillment.

Refunds are generally not available if:

  • The client has approved, accepted, or used the delivered content (including partial use).
  • The content has been published or distributed anywhere (digital, print, social media, websites, etc.).
  • The request is made more than 14 days after delivery/fulfillment of the assignment.
  • The client requested revisions but did not provide clear, timely feedback or rejected reasonable revisions.
Important: Once content is published or used publicly, no refunds will be issued, as this indicates acceptance and utilization of the work.

2. Refund Request Process

To request a refund:

  1. Email refunds@writehub.work with your order/job details, reason for request, evidence (e.g., screenshots, correspondence), and any prior revision attempts.
  2. We will review the request within 3-5 business days, including consulting the writer if needed.
  3. If approved, we will process the refund (full or partial) to your original payment method.

We encourage good-faith communication: Clients should first attempt to resolve issues directly with the writer (via email provided upon claim) or request revisions before seeking a refund.

3. Refund Amounts and Processing

  • Full refunds: Rare — typically only for complete non-delivery or severe breaches (e.g., proven plagiarism).
  • Partial refunds: Common for cases where some value was provided (e.g., revisions attempted, partial delivery) — amount determined case-by-case (e.g., 50-80% based on work completed).
  • Processing time: Approved refunds are initiated within 72 hours of approval (where possible). Actual receipt may take 3-10 business days depending on your payment processor/bank (e.g., PayPal, credit card issuer).

Refunds do not include any transaction fees charged by payment providers — these are non-recoverable.

4. Bad Faith and Abuse of Policy

We reserve the right to deny refunds and pursue remedies (including legal action) if a client:

  • Acts in bad faith (e.g., requests refund after publishing/using content, initiates chargeback without justification, provides misleading information).
  • Abuses the refund process repeatedly or fraudulently.
  • Violates our Terms of Service or job agreement.

Such actions may result in account suspension, forfeiture of funds, reporting to payment providers, or legal pursuit for damages/recovery.

5. Revisions and Dispute Resolution

Most issues can be resolved through revisions (typically 1-2 rounds included, per job specs). We encourage clients and writers to communicate promptly. The platform may mediate disputes before approving refunds.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be notified via email or Site notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
